SVG describes shapes, paths, and text as vector instructions. This converter renders those instructions into a fixed grid of pixels and saves the result as a JPG (JPEG) image. Your original SVG file stays unchanged.
Use a JPG copy when an upload form, publishing system, document workflow, or app specifically asks for JPG. It is a practical way to share a flat image with people and tools that cannot open SVG files.
Keep the SVG for future edits. Export a JPG when you need a compatible image at a specific size.
| What matters | SVG | JPG / JPEG |
|---|---|---|
| Image type | Vector shapes and text | A fixed grid of pixels |
| Resizing | Vector artwork stays sharp at different sizes | Enlarging an existing JPG can look blurry |
| Transparency | Supports transparent areas | Uses a solid background |
| Best fit | Logos, icons, diagrams, and editable artwork | Fixed-size copies for sharing and JPG-only uploads |
| Editing | Change individual elements and paths | Edit pixels; original vector structure is gone |
JPG does not preserve transparency. White is the default; choose another color to match the destination. Need transparent artwork instead? Use the SVG to PNG tool.
Set the output dimensions before converting, rather than enlarging the JPG later. More pixels can preserve fine details at a larger display size, but also increase the file size. Small text and sharp edges may still show JPEG compression.
Quality starts at 92%. Adjust it while checking the actual encoded JPG preview and file size. Quality is a compression setting, not a promise that every file will shrink by the same amount.
These tools support static SVG files or code up to 256 KB, with canvas and output dimensions up to 4096 pixels per side. Scripts, external resources, embedded images, animation, filters, and other unsupported features are removed by the existing SVG safety checks. Text depends on fonts available on your device. Always check the preview when converting SVGs from a design app.
Upload or drag in a .svg file for an automatic preview. If you have SVG code instead, paste it into the code converter and select Convert to JPG. Choose dimensions, background color, and quality, then download your JPG.
Yes. JPG and JPEG are file extensions for the same image format. This converter downloads a .jpg file with the image/jpeg media type.
No. JPG does not support transparency. This converter fills transparent areas with white by default, or a color you choose. Use PNG if you need to keep transparency.
Choose enough output pixels for where you will use the image, and use a higher quality setting. Render the larger image directly from the SVG. Enlarging an already downloaded JPG will not restore vector detail.
Yes. Conversion, previews, and JPG downloads are free, with no sign-up or AI credits required. File size, complexity, and output-dimension limits still apply.
No. Both converters process your SVG in your browser, without uploading files or code for conversion. Opening the separate SVG editor and choosing to use AI is a different action.
JPG uses pixels, lossy compression, and a solid background. The preview may also differ if your SVG relies on external fonts, referenced content, or features removed by the safety checks. Review the preview before downloading.
This version converts one SVG at a time. Download the result, then choose Replace SVG to convert another file.
Yes. Paste your complete <svg>…</svg> markup into the SVG Code to JPG converter on this page, then select Convert to JPG. The code converter has its own preview and settings, so it does not replace an uploaded file. After editing the code, convert again to update the result.
Upload a file, check the preview, and download a JPG that fits.
